Medicare Renewals

If you’re already enrolled in original Medicare (Parts A & B), or a Medicare Advantage plan, your plan will automatically renew every year. It’s important to review to your plan every year, as it can change.

Original Medicare (Parts A and B)

$164.90 is the standard premium for 2023. Many people pay above that amount.

Medicare Advantage plans (Part C)

Plans renew automatically, but premiums and benefits may change.

Medicare prescription drug plans (Part D)

Plans renew automatically, but premiums and coverage may change.

Medicare Supplement Plans

Medicare Supplement policies renew automatically as long as the premium is paid, even if the insurance company stops selling the plan.

Annual Notice of Change

Keep your Medicare plan if you're happy with it, but check it annually. Your Insurance Carrier must send you a notice of changes in October, called "Annual Notice of Change". It will show any changes in coverage, costs, etc. that start in January the following year. Make sure the plan still works for you after reviewing the changes. If you don't get the notice or want to cancel your plan, contact your Insurance Carrier.
